We had a guy visiting us who was suffering from hemochromatosis and he wanted a handicap sticker for his car. He told me this right after he bragged about walking two miles every morning. One of my nursing classmates wrote that her son got thrown from his motorcycle (wearing his state of the art helmet) without which he'd be a dead man. He suffered a brain shear injury and short term memory loss. Apparently he struck a black dog on the road which sent him flying. This was back in October and he's probably doing well now, but she said it was, as you say, an awful shock for everyone. For sure, file that under scary crap!
